The 60 lessons in this hardcover reader contain forty narratives, six selections of Bible prose, four selections of Bible poetry, six English poems, and four composition themes (of which two are Scripture passages).
These selections have been chosen for their integrity and worthwhile contribution to building character. The stories include lessons from history and the present day, from foreign countries and North America, from grownups and schoolchildren, from nature and human experiences.
At the end of the lessons, the Vocabulary lists words with their definitions. The Exercises include questions to develop comprehension and communication skills, many being of a subjective nature.
The workbook contains exercises to accompany each lesson.
The teacher's manual contains answers as well as general helps for teaching the lessons.
There are eight tests. The answers are in the back of the Teacher's Manual.
